Quality Assurance
The aim of Quality Assurance (QA) is to warrant patient safety, and ensure that clinical trials comply with regulatory requirements,and data generated are valid. In accordance with ICH-GCP 5.1, the IFS has a dedicated QA unit, which acts as a central hub in all matters regarding patient safety and data integrity. The QA unit develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs), vital for the conduct of clinical trials. Moreover, the IFS itself routinely performs audits both in-house and externally for contractors and pharmacies and supports investigators during their preparation for audits.
