The Institut für anwendungsorientierte Forschung und klinische Studien (IFS) is an academie clinical trial service provider acting in accordance with international ICH-GCP quality standards. The IFS serves as point of contact for all matters relating to clinical research.

The IFS is located at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. Staffed with highly professional, specialized, and service-minded personnel, the company's mission is to network and coordinate among investigators, research-based pharmaceutical companies, authorities, and public sponsors. Serving both as site management organization(SMO) and as-contract research organization (CRO), the IFS supports university's resident researchers as well as external partners in their efforts to develop and realize pharmaceutical projects.
